February.24.2009 Kuwait Embassy in Tokyo celebrates 48th Nat''l Day, 18th Liberation Day

Kuwait Embassy in Tokyo has held on Tuesday a reception marking the Kuwait's 48th National Day and the 18th Liberation Day, which fall on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Dozens of Japanese statesmen, politicians, economists and celebrated media figures attended the reception held at the Imperial Court of Japan with the court's chief of staff attending.
It was also attended by Minister of Justice Eisuke Mori who is also member of the Kuwaiti-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Association, deputy chairman of Japan's Senate, two former defense ministers, two deputy foreign ministers, and Japan's special envoy to the Middle East Tatsuo Arima as well as a number senior officials of the ministries of foreign affairs, defense and finance.
The attendees congratulated Kuwait Ambassador to Japan Abdul-Rahman Al-Utaibi on the national anniversaries, praising the role being played by the State of Kuwait in the stability, security and economic development of the Middle East.
In his address to the ceremony, Al-Otaibi briefed the attendees on the progress made by Kuwait in the political, economic domains as well as its contributions to the reconstruction and democratization of neighborly Iraq.
He congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as well as the Kuwaiti people and government on this grand national occasion.
