SWAJJ Charity Bazaar 2011
Mrs. Jamilah Al-Otaibi, Wife of the Kuwaiti Ambassador and the Embassy of the State of Kuwait to participate in “Arab Charity Bazaar Japan Disaster Relief” at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman
The Embassy of the State of Kuwait participated in “Arab Charity Bazaar Japan Disaster Relief” organized by The Society of Wives of Arab Ambassadors and Heads of Missions in Japan at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman on June 11, Saturday. This Charity Event was particularly held to assist raise funds for the relief of the East Japan Earthquake which has occurred in March 11th.
Headed by Mrs. Jamilah Al-Otaibi, wife of the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, delicious home-made Kuwaiti dishes and sweets, as well as various handicrafts were sold at food and handicraft corners. Among the distinguished guests of honor, Her Royal Highness Princess Takamado, wife of current Prime of Japan H.E. Mr. Naoto Kan, and wife of current Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Takeaki Matsumoto, all came to the Kuwaiti handicraft booth, and enjoy the pleasant conversation of Mrs. Jamilah Al-Otaibi.
In addition to sales of food and handicraft, various corners to experience Arabic culture were also present, such as Arabic Calligraphy and Henna painting, as well as the Raffle corner, which offered the thrill of winning fabulous and interesting gifts. The Bazaar proved to be a huge success with a tremendous amount of people attending the event, and contributing to assistance and cooperation for disaster relief.
