The Chargé d’Affaires participated in the Iftar hosted by Prime Minister of Japan
The Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, Mr. Hamad Al-Mulla at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait was invited by the Prime Minister of Japan, H. E. Mr. Shizo Abe to an “Iftar”, the fast-breaking dinner during the holy month of Ramadan at the Prime Minister’s Office on the evening of July 31. About 34 representatives from the Islamic Diplomatic Corps in Tokyo participated in the Iftar.
The Prime Minister stated in his welcome remarks that Japan and Muslim communities have common culture which attaches importance to living together with others in the spirit of tolerance, and he desired the continuous strengthen bonds between Japan and the Islamic countries.
After that, the Chief Representative of the New Komeito Party, H. E. Mr. Natuso Yamaguchi gave an address, followed by a toast proposed by the former Prime Minister, H. E. Mr. Yoshiro Mori. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Mr. Fumio Kishida participated in the Iftar. The first-ever Arab-African sumo wrestler, Osunaarashi from Egypt was also invited.
During the Iftar, the Chargé d’Affaires had a great opportunity to talk with the Prime Minister and appreciated the distinguished relation between the two countries and extended warm welcome to the Prime Minister referring to his visit to the State of Kuwait.
