Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait’s official working visit to Japan

His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait paid an official working visit to Japan accompanied by a high-level delegation, upon general invitation of His Excellency Mr. Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan from May 11th to 13th, 2016.

His Highness the Prime Minister was received in an Imperial audience by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan On May 13th.

His Highness the Prime Minister met with His Excellency Mr. Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan, and a Japan-Kuwait summit meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office at 6:15 PM on May 12th. The State of Kuwait and Japan confirmed their willingness to enhance the friendly, cooperative and mutually beneficial “Comprehensive Partnership” between the two countries in a broader range of fields including politics, economy and culture, supported by human-to-human exchanges.

His Highness the Prime Minister arrived in Tokyo and was received by His Excellency Mr. Masakazu Hamachi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan, members of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, and diplomats of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Tokyo. On the same day, His Excellency Mr. Al-Otaibi held a dinner banquet in honour of His Highness the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation.

His Highness the Prime Minister and his delegation finished the official working visit and left Tokyo at 12PM on May 13th.
