H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi meets with H.E. Mr. Kaieda and H.E. Mr. Nakayama, Minister and Vice Minister of METI, respectively
H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi meets with H.E. Mr. Kaieda and H.E. Mr. Nakayama, Minister and Vice Minister of METI, respectively H.E the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan Mr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi held meetings with H.E. Mr. Banri Kaieda, Minister for Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and H.E. Mr. Yoshikatsu Nakayama, Vice Minister of METI, respectively. Mr. Waleed Abduljalil, the head of KPC Tokyo Office and Mr. Mohammad Al-Mutairi, Deputy Head of Mission cum First Secretary also attended. H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi, on behalf of H.H. the Amir, the State of Kuwait, and its people, showed sincerest condolence to Japan and its people especially in the afflicted area, and handed over the official letter to H.E. Mr. Kaieda from H.E. Ahamad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Oil and Minister of Information, Chairman of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), on which the Kuwaiti donation of 5 million barrels of petroleum products and crude oil (equivalent to 42 billion JPY). In response, H.E. Mr. Kaieda expressed deepest gratitude to the State of Kuwait and its people and explained the current situation of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactors and of the afflicted areas. H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi also held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Nakayama, Vice Minister of METI and their Excellencies agreed on further cooperation to develop the friendship between the two countries, as well as to support Japan to overcome this tragic situation.
