Kuwait Commerce Chamber looks at infrastructure, tourims cooperation with

Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) discussed Tuesday ways to boost cooperation for tourism and infrastructure with the visiting Japanese delegation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
The Japanese delegation headed by the Vice Director General of Policy Planning met with Fahad Al-Jouan, a Board member of KCCI, in the presence of representatives of several Kuwaiti companies to discuss ways to develop trade relations between Japan and Kuwait, especially in the areas of infrastructure and tourism, a statement released by KCCI said. Al-Jouan affirmed that the time was "appropriate" for Japanese companies to invest in Kuwait, through their participation in the overall development projects, assuring them the facilitation and readiness to provide all the means available to Japanese companies from a variety of information and services that lead to the expansion of trade cooperation between the two countries. On his part, the Japanese official thanked the KCCI for the opportunity to meet with Kuwaiti businessmen, stressing the Japanese companies' desire to cooperate with Kuwaiti counterparts in the implementation of joint projects, whether in Kuwait or abroad. The event was an opportunity for Kuwaiti and Japanese companies to hold meetings in order to create mutual understanding and the possibility of trade and investment between the parties.
The visiting Japanese delegation included a number of companies operating in the fields of construction, contracting, engineering, architecture, and harbor construction, which presented their activities and projects implemented in Japan and other countries, such as airports, seaports, hotels and tourist resorts.
