Great Reunion Party of Japanese School in Kuwait Held in Ginza: H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of Kuwait to Japan and Madame Jameelah Joined the Party
The great reunion party of Japanese School in Kuwait was held in Ginza on Saturday. Until its closure in summer 1990, the school was the educational base of Japanese residents in Kuwait. The graduated born in the late 1960’s and 1970 and their parents, the school principal and teachers, a former diplomat served at the Embassy of Japan in Kuwait, totaling more than 100 participants attended the party to renew their old ties. The party started with hoisting of the National Flag and playing of the National Anthem of Kuwait. The ex-pupils and students made groups by classes and grades, and presented performances they prepared for this occasion. The participants all remembered the good old memories of the days in Kuwait and enjoyed chatting. His Excellency Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi and Madame Jameelah made a special attendance to the party. H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi made a short speech stressing that “it is our pleasure to see such a lot of people having special connections to Kuwait together on this precious occasion. We hope all of you here to keep in touch with us in various occasions in the future.” The Ambassador gave a special contribution to the party by providing Kuwaiti traditional sweets, Kuwaiti video and popular music.
